Terms of Service
Last updated: July 15, 2026
These terms govern your use of WhatTo (whatto.life). By using the site, you agree to them. WhatTo is run by an individual, not a company.
What WhatTo is
WhatTo is a recommendation tool: you pick a category and a few filters, and it surfaces one pick — a recipe or something to watch — pulled from third-party data sources. It's a discovery aid, not professional advice.
Not dietary, medical, or professional advice
Recipe results (ingredients, nutrition estimates, calorie/macro tiers) are approximations sourced from the fatsecret Platform API and are not verified for accuracy, allergens, or dietary safety. Always check ingredients and nutrition independently before cooking or eating something if you have allergies, medical dietary restrictions, or other health considerations. WhatTo is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice.
Third-party content and links
Movie/TV data comes from TMDB; streaming availability comes from JustWatch; recipe data comes from the fatsecret Platform API; delivery-search links point to third-party services like Uber Eats. WhatTo doesn't control, guarantee, or take responsibility for the accuracy, availability, or content of any third-party site or service it links to or pulls data from. Streaming availability in particular changes often and may be out of date by the time you click through.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on WhatTo may be affiliate links. WhatTo may earn a commission on qualifying actions taken after clicking one, at no extra cost to you. This doesn't influence which result gets recommended.
No warranty
WhatTo is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. It depends on third-party APIs that WhatTo doesn't control, so it may be slow, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable, and results aren't guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or continuously available.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhatTo and its operator aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its recommendations or any third-party content it links to.
Intellectual property
WhatTo's own design and code belong to its operator. Recipe and movie/TV data remain the property of their respective providers (fatsecret, TMDB) and are used under their attribution terms, shown alongside the relevant results.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as WhatTo changes — the "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
